Dr. Eric Valladares is a Board Certified General Surgeon and fellowship trained in Baritric Surgery. He was first trained in laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding with the LAP BAND in 2004.

He received his undergraduate training at the University of Miami, majoring in Biology and Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry and Foreign Languages. He attended Howard College of Medicine inWashington DC and completed his general surgery residency at Howard University Hospital. After his residency, Dr. Valladares worked as a private practice surgeon gaining experience in a broad spectrum of patient care. In 2004 he decided to obtain additional training in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Bariatric Surgery in a private practice fellowship. Dr. Valladares performs advanced laparoscopic, endoscopic and robotic surgery in Miami and has performed over 1,000 laparoscopic procedures.

He is an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. He is the Director of Bariatric Surgery at Larkin Community Hospital.

Dr. Valladares was raised in Miami and South Florida. He is now living his dream of helping those in his community live happier and healthy lives through surgical weight loss. Dr. Valladares is known for his caring and down to earth nature that helps patients achieve long-term success. He is fluent in both Spanish and English.
